Angela Martin

Angela is an adviser for W4O and is in charge of maintaining the directory. 
​
Angela works to advance understanding and recognition of the role of marine life in ocean carbon cycling and storage, and the potential importance for climate change mitigation. Angela graduated from the University of Essex with a Master's degree in marine biology, and previously worked as a lead for Blue Climate Solutions, before which she worked on the conservation and management of dugongs and their seagrass habitats with the UNEP Convention on Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) Dugong MoU Secretariat in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Angela is currently completing her PhD in blue carbon.

Valeria Teloni
General Support

Valeria does general support for Women4Oceans.

Valeria Teloni graduated from the University of Pavia with a Master’s degree in biology. She later received her PhD in bioacoustics from the University of Aarhus. Valeria has 8+ years of experience with multidisciplinary research ranging from small, low budget teams to international expeditions. In 2007, she transitioned to the private sector where she specialized in product compliance for the IVD market and project management. Valeria is chairperson of her current employer Environmental Sustainability Committee and loves educating people about sustainable practices in everyday life through community events and talks, under her label “Waste Days Are Over”.

Zoe Winck
Communications

Zoe is responsible for the content and optimisation of the website as well as the ongoing "amplify" project which aims to give a platform for the network members to share their perspective and experiences.

She has a background in politics from the University of Sussex (UK) and professional experience in the field of digital marketing (SEO), event planning and customer service. Constantly learning, she cultivates an open mind and a healthy dose of optimism. Zoe is passionate about holistic, inclusive and sustainable development, particularly in urban areas and at city level. One of the main challenges of addressing climate change in her view is the interplay of different spheres of society such as research, governance, private and public sectors. This is where her passion for sustainable development and her communication skills come together: in order to mediate and build bridges between sectors and facilitate new dynamics.
